An Introduction...


My mother, for some reason, named me Jessica, but I rather hate that name. It doesn't suit me. I picked up "Jessy" somewhere around twelve or thirteen and kind of just ran with it.

You can call me Emmy, it fits me well enough. I suppose you'd call it a penname of sorts, but then I've always liked it more than my given name. And Emmy is indeed real enough.

Or, you can call me Havok. Whatever.




There aren't words to describe me. None that I have, as of yet, found, at least. I am truly an unique individual, but, then, aren't we all to some extent? I'm just a little more odd than your average Joe and a great deal more insane.

It makes my life interesting.

Writing is my passion, my life. Like breathing, I need it to live and function. The written word is the single most beautiful, most powerful, most inspiring, and most deadly gift the human race has ever been granted.

I love music, in all of its various forms. I'm Pretty.Odd. (haha, couldn't help it, the pun is simply perfect even if I rather dislike that CD, which is horrible compared to A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, at least in my opinion) in that area, as my musical tastes are pretty eccentric. My favorite band is Kill Hannah (Mat Devine wrote Unwanted and stole my heart forever), but I love and support more bands than I could ever find time to list. The list is just about endless.







I'm straightedge. I have been since I was fifteen years old and I don't see it changing anytime soon. I'm also pansexual and, in an odd sort of way, kind of a genderqueer. I'm proud of you if you know what that means. I have a fascination with life, with love, and with tattoos. I kind of want to cover myself in them.

My favorite color is Gabe Saporta.

In my opinion, Ninjas? They're awesome. Pirates fail epically in comparison, but are also awesome. Jedi are up there, too.

I'm a Dork. Yes, it deserves the capital letter. It should pretty much be stamped across my forehead because its true. I'm like the eighth dwarf: dorky.

My religion is the Church of Hot Addiction. We worship sex.

I love comedy. I love to laugh until my sides hurt, laugh until i'm crying, until I can't breathe. My favorite comedians are Jeff Dunham, Brian Haner Sr, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Christopher Titus.

I think Jensen Ackles might just be the best looking guy on the planet.

I'm also inappropriately attracted to Nick Jonas, Skandar Keynes, Colin Morgan, and Alan Cumming.

I'm pretty sure that if you were able to combine Jared Padalecki and Joe Jonas into one entity, it'd be the male equivelent of me. Possibly.

I have a near-unhealthy obsession with Patrick Stump and Jan Werner.

Kevin Smith and Tim Burton are the best directors, of all time. Fuck you if you think otherwise. (I also like Peter Jackson.)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is both the worst of the Harry Potter books, and the best of the movies.

My brain is made up of lots of different people I share the space with. I call them my muses and they are endless, ever shifting, ever changing, always speaking, always there. A few of them are more demanding than others, so they get names. Emmy is the loudest, the crudest, the eldest, and that is why I love her the most. Jack, Dylann, Alex, Jamie, and Syd all have stories. One day, I'll figure out how to write them.

For now, I write fanfic. Its fun, its challenging, and sometimes its a lifeline in darkness. One day I'll be able to write the stories that are etched into my heart and soul, but for now I'm just trying to expand my talents.





I watch the Disney channel out of emmence boredom, whcih is how I fell in love with Mitchel Musso and the Jonas Brothers. While I'd be the first to admit their music isn't the best, Mitchel's got pipes like his brother and the JoBros aren't actually horrible. They just have a bad reputation of suckyness and they really need to get out from beneath Disney's thumb, and then they could truly reach their potential. Mostly, I just love the guys. They're total sweethearts and personality attracts me.

For the record, Miley Cyrus can go jump off a bridge. I hate everything about her and her split fucking personality.

But, Emily Osment, Demi Lavato, and Selena Gomez are awesome. Especially Demi and Selena.

Oh, and Mitchel needs to hook up with Martin from Boys Like Girls. DO NOT ARGUE WITH ME ON THIS.



I have a kitten named Loki who is evil freaking genius, a complete sadist, and possibly the cutest thing on the planet.


My favorite movie is The Crow. I find it very beautiful, darkly romantic, and utterly morbid. My type of film. Its also very inspiring. I love the quote "It can't rain all the time".

Finally, I have this journal for a variety of reasons. First and foremost is to post my writings, both fanfic and original. Do Not Steal Any Writing From This Journal. The only reason this is friends-only is because I'd had my work stolen one too many times.

Second, I rant, I rave, and I carry on about stupid, trival things and my insane, completely dysfunctional family. I also ramble about music, television, actors, life, things I find on youtube, and whatever I feel like. I recommend fics, I post picasms, and I share videos.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this is where I share my life. This is where I connect. The friends I have made through this wonderful site mean more to me than they know.

Silly, Fitz, and, of course, my adopted mother of sorts Mel. They're wonderful people and I'm lucky to have found them.

I can never stress enough how amazing of a writer Jade Gates is. And, seriously, people. READ KALEB'S STORY. Jade wrote it and its amazing and when it gets published, I'm buying myself at least three copies. And probably gonna write fic. Hahahaha. Okay, no, I'd probably never be able to do them justice, but I know that I already want to write it


Before I sign off, there's still two people I have to recognize. First and foremost, my best friend Manda, who I love enough to write het for. So, clearly, our friendship is of epic proportions. Second, is Kenneth, who I have known literally my whole life. I lost him for a few years and they were honestly the hardest years of my life. I'm so grateful to have him back in my life.
